January has been a busy and successful month for our footballers this year. Wednesday 25th January saw our school football team compete in the Wiltshire Small Schools Cup Final in Stanley Park, Chippenham. They gave a good performance winning 3-1 versus King William St and only narrowly losing to Keevil 1-0 after a very close match. This narrow loss originally meant that that was the end of our contention but due to the recent withdrawal of Kevil from the competition our team will now be going through to the South West Final at Keynsham on 3rd March 2012 - good news! Meanwhile on Friday 27th January our year 3/4 team (blue kit) played at watchfield and only lost narrowly by 5-3 after an excellent game for which Mrs Lowe commended them on their team spirit and working in friendship. Year 5/6 also played and won their match with Sam Lewis attaining a hat-trick in the process. Well done to all our players we are proud of you and all your effort and sportsmanship.         |
