It is essential that parents/guardians advise us of any change of address, telephone number, emergency contacts, doctor or any information the school should know in the best interests of the children. Such details are maintained on the school’s administration computer and you are welcome to look at your child’s record. From time to time you will receive a copy in order to check for accuracy and completeness.
Our first priority is the child’s welfare and safety, therefore there may be occasions when the concern for a child means that we have to consult other agencies before contacting the parents. This is only carried out when absolutely necessary. The procedures followed are laid down by the Wiltshire and Swindon Area Child Protection Committee. This procedure is available from the Headteacher.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the safety of personal property, valuables are brought in to school at your own risk and we accept no responsibility for their loss.
Should your child need to take prescribed medicines at school then it is important that you contact the Headteacher. Please note that, as a general rule, it is the responsibility of parents to administer such medicines. Pain relievers such as Calpol/Junior Disprol cannot be administered and should not be sent to school.
Policy can be viewed HERE...
To comply with the law and LA policy, it is our policy to ask for voluntary contributions towards a number of activities such as swimming and school trips. It must be understood that unless these voluntary contributions are received, the activities cannot take place.
We want to be able to continue offering an interesting and varied educational programme, but it will only continue with the full support of all parents. Private instrument tuition in school time is charged fully to the parent by the tutor concerned.
